* Ask the group to share some of their favorite or most memorable childhood stories?
* What is the whole story of the Bible? Ask someone from your group to recall the 4 components of The Story that George preached Sunday. [Creation: How did it all begin?, The Fall: What went wrong?, The Rescue: Can anything be done?, The Restoration: How will everything end?]
1) Creation: How did it all begin? * Read Genesis 1:1 - Who is the central character? What significance does or should this have? * How is your life shaped by the author of all life? In what areas is it less shaped by Him? * Share some specific ways that God is the central figure in your story? * Read Genesis 1:27-28 - What is our purpose in this story? * Other verses: Ps. 90:2
2) The Fall: What went wrong? * Read Genesis 3:1-6 * What was the serpent's method with Adam & Eve? How does he do this in our lives today? * What were the consequences? For them? For all mankind? For us?
3) The Rescue: Can anything be done? * Read Genesis 3:7-21 * How did Adam & Eve try to rescue themselves? How do you try to rescue yourselves (be as specific as possible)? * What did God do...how did He rescue them? How do you turn to God as your rescuer (be as specific as possible)? * Other verses: Gal. 1:4, 1 Pet. 3:18, Rom. 5:8
4) The Restoration: How will everything end? * What are your views of Heaven? What will it be like? * Read Revelation 21:1-4 * Based on this Scripture, what makes Heaven Heaven? * How does your view of Heaven display it being primarily about a Person rather than a place? If it doesn't, how should this reshape your mind and eventually your life?
* Ask someone to recap the Story in their own words.
