WeeCare: Birth Through 2 Years Old

(A Sure Foundation) Focus on prayer, blessing, spreading the atmosphere of Christ – worship music, gently spoken words of kindness and truth, simple truth statements about God, Bible story telling(13 repeated stories) and training in righteousness. Focus topics include: God made everything,

Only God is big, God is good, God always wins!, God knows everything, Only one God, God is everywhere, Jesus is here, We love Jesus, Jesus is the boss, Jesus loves me, Jesus is a friend, Jesus is alive!

Children, age two through kindergarten, will learn all the major stories in the Bible from beginning to end – chronologically! They will learn individual stories and will come to understand that the Bible is one big story about God!

Each preschool class is provided with a wide variety of activities for the children to explore. Classes are offered both hours for this age group at the 9am and 10:45am. Children in the 10:45am session “get to know” our several missionary families through songs, games, projects, and prayer. The day ends with a puppet show that recaps the lesson for the day.

Who are Dee, Cy, and Paul & Chip?

These four characters (otherwise known as Di-ci-ple-ship) are puppet friends that grow up with our preschoolers! Each Sunday morning these puppet shows are a highlight in the preschool classrooms offering scenes from “home” which help the children connect the Bible story to their lives.

    Children Desiring God

    1st through 5th Grade

First through fifth graders dig deep into the lives and truths in Scripture in this thought-provoking curriculum by Desiring God Ministries. By the time a grade-schooler finishes this program, they will have learned many of the promises of God, the names of God and why we need to know them, what life was like for Jesus, and how God brings good out of bad things! These classes are offered at 9am and 10:45am Sunday mornings. The lessons are identical both hours to encourage families to worship together during one hour. Check out below to see what our Kids are learning.

1st grade: Jesus What a Savior!

1st grade (Jesus, what a Savior!) This chronological study on redemption explores the incomparable greatness and worth of God, the desperate condition of helpless sinners, and the all-sufficient work of Jesus Christ to redeem sinful people.

    2nd gradeThe ABC's of God

Unlike many studies for children which center on the importance and needs of people, The ABC’s of God purposefully presents the delight that God has in Himself as the source, the reason, and the purpose if all things.

Right thinking about God is essential for the life of faith. Using the alphabet as a framework for teaching the attributes of God, this study explores the delight that God has in Himself as the source, means, and purpose of all things. Each lesson asks and answers three key questions, “Who is God?” “What is He like?” and “How should I act toward Him?” as it presents a theology of God for children.

3rd Grade  Faithful to All His Promises (10:45 hour)

God's promises are gifts to the believer. The challenge of the Christian life is not to simply know the promises of God, but to place unshakable confidence in them. This study teaches children that God's character is trustworthy; therefore, His promises are true and reliable.

We encourage your child to bring a Bible to class each week.  Children participating in this class will be learning how to use their Bible to develop important Bible study skills such as using the Table of Contents to find a book and learning to use chapter and verse references.

3rd Grade to 5th Grade (9am Hour) & 4th Grade (10:45 Hour)      In the Beginning... Jesus

The Bible is one complete true story that progressively reveals God's redemptive plan, which comes to complete fulfillment in the Person and work of Jesus Christ. In the Beginning...Jesus begins with a historical mystery—Jesus' death on the cross—and asks the questions: "What really happened here?" "Why did Jesus die?" and "Who did it? To find the answers to these questions, the study goes to the beginning of the Bible narrative in Genesis and then moves chronologically through the Old Testament text as students search for clues that foreshadow the coming of Jesus and His redemptive work on the cross. Special emphasis is given to showing that the Bible is God's story from beginning to end and that Jesus is the key to understanding the story.

5th grade:  How Majestic is His Name

The names of God are wonderful revelations of His majestic character. This study presents the Hebrew names of God in the Old Testament and the names of Christ and the Holy Spirit in the New Testament. Each lesson encourages children to see and rejoice in the goodness and greatness of God as they explore the meanings of His glorious names
