UNENDING JOY (Christmas Album)
The indescribable, exuberant, unending joy that the hope of Christmas brings is not found in the tinsel and bows, or the smells of baked goods in the oven, or any of the other holiday festivities. Where the joy of Christmas is captured most succinctly is in the fulfillment of over 350 prophecies, stretching over 2 millennia, promising freedom for the captive, hope for the hopeless, and reconciliation for the wayward. It is 2,000 years of growing anticipation culminating in the humble birth of the son of God in a stable that for one night was turned into a temple.
These are the themes that permeate North Wake's new Christmas album, "Unending Joy"! The title track itself pulls from many of the more famous old testament prophecies erupting in a chorus of polyphonic praise. The diversity of song writers, styles, and genres reflect the diversity of people and backgrounds that make up our church. From modern praise choruses to classic carols, Unending Joy covers the spectrum of musical expression; however, woven throughout the entire album is the connection between the cradle and the cross. This is a Christmas album that could also be enjoyed at Easter.

The third release from North Wake is as beautifully diverse and deep as the people and gifts that make up our church. The songs' strong lyrical connections to the books of Hebrews, Jude, Joshua, Deuteronomy, and the Psalms mixed with musical influences from Aretha Franklin to Journey make a strong appeal to those of diverse musical tastes who love the Bible. There is truly something in this album that everyone will like.
The album begins with the classic Doxology of Jude set to an acoustic rock groove. The rockabilly sounds of Your Blood are easily singable, making it a simple crossover to a corporate worship song. Satisfy and Trinity Song are acoustic-driven songs of love and worship, while the driving sound of Raise a Shout takes its cue from ZZ Top. A full orchestra and choir give a dramatic performance that builds into an anthem of worship in Was There Silence Over Yonder. And all North Wake albums thus far have ended with a modern take on one of the Psalms. Tetelestai concludes with a hauntingly beautiful rendition of Psalm 139.

CHILDREN OF THE FREE: Live from North Wake Church
We are blessed to have so many gifted musicians and songwriters in our church. For years we’ve been introducing these songs to the body of North Wake, some of them were written to be used more as a commentary to the church and some of them were written for the corporate singing of the church, but all of the songs were written for the edification and building up of the church and I love that about our people! I think none have said it so poetically or poignantly than Charles Wesley when he wrote:
"If well I know the tuneful art
To captivate a human heart
the glory, Lord, be thine.
A servant of thy blessed will,
I here devote my utmost skill
to sound the praise divine.
Thine own musician, Lord, inspire,
And let my consecrated lyre
Repeat the Psalmist's part.
His Son and Thine reveal in me,
And fill with sacred melody
The
Children of the Free is the manifestation of the sacred melody of God filling the
